Fairtrade is a system of certification that aims to ensure a set of standards are met in the production and supply of a product or ingredient.

For farmers and workers, Fairtrade means workers’ rights, safer working conditions and fairer pay. For customers, this means high quality, ethically produced products.

WFTO

The WFTO is the global community and verifier of social enterprises that fully practice Fair Trade. Spread across 76 countries, WFTO members all exist to serve marginalised communities. To be a WFTO member, an enterprise or organisation must demonstrate they put people and planet first in everything they do. WFTO is democratically run by their members, who are part of a broader community of over 1,000 social enterprises and 1,500 shops. WFTO is their global community.

L’oreal solidarity sourcing program

“Our ‘Solidarity Sourcing’ program, which started in 2010, directs a proportion of our Global purchases to suppliers who employ people from vulnerable communities to allow them to have a durable access to work and income. So far, we’ve been leading 365 projects up and running in 709 local initiatives in 61 counties helping 89,093 beneficiaries gaining access to work. This represents an additional 7,955 people compared to 2020, an increase of 9.8%.”*

Linteo joined solidarity program in 2022 after reviewing sitation in the city of Pakrac and its area that was affected by the Homeland war.
